A Little About Us
We are a Happily Married couple with 3 beautiful Daughters and 2 handsome furry four legged boys. We got out first American Pitbull Terrier together back in January of 2008. We picked him out of a litter of 6. He was the cutest little guy. We picked him up and he curled up on our shoulder in between our neck and at that moment we knew he was the right one for us. we had a wonderful journey with Zeke. He greeted us every day with a big wagging butt and a huge cheesy grin on his face. He was such a lover. Unfortunately Zeke passed away On September 5, 2008. till this day we do not have the answers as to what happened. the Vet told us he had Parvo but it was not confirmed. The Vet would not do the test, he had told us that it would be better to just treat him as though it was. We lost a dear pal and till this day we have a hard time dealing with the loss. Our kids still say they love and miss him. We told ourselves that we could not replace him and that it would be best if we did not get another American Pitbull Terrier. But on January 11, 2009 we went walking in front of a local pet store and they were having a Pet Adoption going on. So we decided to just take a look around knowing that we were not ready for another one just yet if at all. We walked by this one crate and saw 2 little black and white boys curled up next to each other, and our daughter walks over to the crate and asks "Mommy this one hes cute, and hes a pitbull!" So we talked and asked one of the staff if it would be ok to see one of them. And thats when Raven started licking our daughter in the face. We looked at one another and said with a big smile "LETS DO IT!" So thats how we have Raven. The biggest cuddle bug you could ever imagine. As you know we do have another one now. He is an American Staffordshire terrier. We were browsing on good old craigslist and came across a lady who had a mishap with 2 of her dogs. So out came Sammy. We went to go see the litter and meet the parents. He came running up and plopped himself right in my lap and never left. He resembles Zeke alot but there are big differences too. We love our boys and we dedicate our time and love to our Kids and our furry kids.
We are not out to tell others that this breed is right for them, nor are we out here to force people to understand our side. We only wish that people could understand that it is NOT the breed. Its the way that they are trained and raised. innocent families all over the world are losing their beloved friends because of IRRESPONSIBLE people. And its not fair. We all know that every breed has potential to bite. every breed has the negative and positive sides to them. You cannot blame any animal for doing what its trained to do. Because as we all know that American Pitbull's are huge pleaser to the owners. That's what they live for.
